Thanks for all of your excellent guidance, MudFlap.
I've searched all throughout the forums to locate your recommended valve clearance, and can't find it. Memory tells me .008 for both, and that matches the plate on my scooter, do you concur? PS I'll add for the record that the part number listed on the fuel injector is the generic part number, but I could only find them overseas. Part # MV1-080-B -- I have one on order that is promised by Nov 7. |

Valves .06mm to .08mm on both intake & exhaust
(.00236" to .00315") per plate on bike |

Mine gets slightly better top speed and MPG with a windshield. A truly aerodynamic windshield would make a bigger difference.

Any consensus on roughly how long the drive belts last? Thinking of carrying a spare.

I got an increase in MPG when I installed a windscreen on my 150cc scoot.
I have a little over 2k miles on my drive belt so far and it still looks new. Your "200" is only 15cc larger than mine and we share most parts. Carrying a spare DB is often not a real prep for emergency since many times you can not get a new drive belt on the machine without impact tools or at least a breaker bar for removal of the variator pulleys. The best way to prepare for a broken belt is to have your cell phone charged and know the number of a real good friend that owns a pickup truck and set of ramps.

I can't say how long belts last but I do carry a spare along with tools to replace it. Tools to replace the belt include a pin spanner to hold the variator and a 17mm wrench for the nut along with a 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm sockets, and jis screwdriver.

Trying to change the belt
I have a clash 200 and I'm trying to change the belt but can't get the cvt cover off. I took out all the bolts all around it but it won't budge. Feels like I'm missing a bolt but don't see anymore to remove. What am I missing??? Please help. Thanks
