I bought a....

I bought a trip down an MRI tube! I did pay a little extra for the Michael Jackson treatment...I will be sedated!!! That is sedated (as in knocked out) not seduced, which...well that could be a lot of fun too!

Whenever I start typing sedated, seduced auto fills first?!? What is my phone telling me?!?

See you on the other side!

Got rid of the BMW and replaced it with a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Needs a little work and a few odds and ends, but overall it's going to be much more fun than the BMW because I can actually work on this thing when something goes bang. Fun fact: There is no oil dipstick on newer BMW's, you check the oil level via the onboard m-drive info-tainment system...
Nice. I remember when my 05 Unlimited looked that good. Fifteen years of Illannoy winters have taken their toll on the beast. I offered to trade mine in, along with the Audi, for Mrs. C’s Renegade and I got an emphatic NO. A Wrangler is almost as much fun as a Ural.

Yeah, I don't miss those winters at all. I was in Naperville, IL last year over the winter, and I don't think there's much that compares to that level of miserable. I also have family in NE Pennsylvania (right in the Pocono Mountains), and that's another environment that is permanently depressing and eats up cars on the road. This is our fifth (yes, fifth!) Jeep since the Missus and I have been together, and the second Wrangler. If we would have known that we were coming to AZ, we never would have gotten rid of the first Wrangler, but oh well. So far, I really like it. As I mentioned, it needs some love, but all in all, I think it's going to be a blast. It has the very specific combination of things that I was adamant about getting. Old-school 4.0L straight six engine (you just can't kill them), six speed manual gearbox, and a soft top. I even like the color!

Other than the color and ten less inches in wheelbase, they could be twins.

If you are replacing the exhaust DON’T run the MBRP system. I initially liked it when we lived at the old place. Road speeds were barely 40, so it sounded pretty good. Out here at the new place, 55 is considered pokey and that is one loud exhaust. Good thing I have a decent sound system to drown it out.

My back and neck hurt so bad, I could not lay in the tray.

Turns out, I have a bulging disk requiring surgery. Not what I was hoping for!

Have a great day !

Just get the surgery done. You will be glad you did. With the technology they have now you will be back on your feet and working in no time.

Tailgate handle mechanism for my 97 Chevy K1500 truck. It finally failed me....at Lowes....when I needed to load something heavy by myself.

Why do dumbasses like me wait until absolute failure, at the worst possible time, when it's only been dying for 3 years, before doing something?

Because if it weren't for the hard lessons, we'd never learn any lessons at all...
