Electrical System Resistance Values Spark plug cap resistance: Both Yamaha manuals specifiy 10K Ohms Ignition coil resistance: Primary Coil: Yamaha XT225 manual specifies 0.56 to 0.84 Ohms Secondary Coil: Yamaha XT225 manual specifies 5.68K to 8.52K Ohms Pickup/Pulse Coil Resistance: Both Yamaha manuals specify 656 to 984 Ohms Exciter/Charge Coil Resistance: Yamaha XT225 Manual specifies 584 to 876 Ohms I suggest you measure the stator/exciter coil resistance once again while the engine is cold. The resistance value you reported seems a bit high. Also, the pickup coil has been know to fail for the TW200 motorcycles.

Indeed, I suggest you study the TW200 Service Manual. It explains all the tools needed, the procedure to follow, and the torque specifications for each bolt.

Most of your ZS250GS engine is identical to the engine in my ZS200GY-2. Therefore, a lot of the threads in the "Zong Sticky" also apply to your bike, Kid.
