Donkey-Hotie is up to 16,400 miles now, just installed 300cc kit. We are getting a lot of snow this winter so I almost forgot I had the RX3. rj

Well, I thought I might consider a Kawi 300, but ain't gonna happen. Less than 6 inches of suspension travel, and the rear fender looks to sit a foot off the tire. Too bad, I like a flat seat and will not buy another adventure bike that designs seats for style rather than comfort and ends up wasting a significant amount of lower cargo area resulting in an unnecessarily top heavy bike that smashes private parts.
I've done several days, some consecutive, of 1000-1200 miles on a TW200 with the stock seat. It is comforting to be able to slide the point of contact back and forth a few inches to change pressure points and angles from head to toe. Add in optional foot rests such as passenger pegs and highway bars, and comfortable positions become practically infinite in number. Finding day-long comfort on a BMW GS-style swayback seat does not seem possible, no matter who manufactures it or what you put on it. |

Ot, the Big Bend trails are awesome. Other than a too high 1st, the RX3 is perfect. Chispa Road at the end of the border highway is also awesome, but I think the road is now closed due to flood damage near the east end.
