That ZS250GS only has 300 miles on the odometer, and it needs all those parts? Something sounds fishy.

I just took a good look at the photographs. The right plastic is gone, the fairing is gone, the foot pegs look as if they have been replaced, et cetera. You couldn't give me that bike.

I'd give it a loving home. ZS250GS parts are cheap as chips on Taobao.

I would give about $50. To the right person it would make a great parts bike. I know these are not the most common.
The pictures tell the real story.

For $500...http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...610371339.html
looks like a lot of bike considering the 125cc Lifan engine

Yes, the parts alone are certainly worth more than $50.

I can't think of any reason why the ZS250GS should not be as reliable, and as long-lived as my Zong. The bottoms of both engines are virtually identical. The ZS250GS piston has a larger bore and longer stroke to achieve a displacement of 230cc. Therefore, the connecting rod, piston, cylinder, and cylinder head are different. Otherwise, the two engines are basically the same.

I think that only the bore is dissimilar, per post #26 here: http://www.chinariders.net/showthrea...t=12285&page=2

You are correct; only the bore is increased to gain the extra 34 cc displacement for the Zongshen engine. I was thinking about the Yamaha XT225/TT-R225/TT-R230.
Therefore, only the piston, cylinder, and cylinder head are different from the ZS200GY-2 and Yamaha TW200 engines.

The LA one sounds like it is without title.

1974 honda cb350
I am right now looking at this bike. He wants $600, no title, all original etc. I am thinking this is a good investment in any event. Am I crazy?
(PS I'm feeling nostalgic as well as I had a CB400 when I was a younger man, mine had a windshield though) I think I wanna offer $500 and see if he bites. Geez like I need another project bike. Thanks for the opinions! Jim
