After connecting this wire to the battery, you tuck the pigtail connector on the other end into some convenient, accessible spot on the motorcycle. You can then connect the battery tender to the battery with a similar SAE connector without removing the saddle, or you can remove the saddle and use the supplied jumper cables. Therefore, I suggest you don't remove either of the auxiliary power connectors on the wiring harness. Leave them in place for the optional power outlets on the dashboard, or for some other future accessory.

Replacing the stock, 15-inch rear wheel was a necessity. Having a 17-inch rear wheel gives RX3 owners access to a wide selection of excellent rear tires.

I'll let the forum know sources and info I find... and can bring a supply out when I come to get the bike for anyone needing them. They then can be installed before Baha, or for others riding home, installed before everyone's departures. However, if they prove problematic, I'll whack, and solder, and liquid electrical tape, shrink wrap, then color coded electrical tape them!! hehe
I definitely do NOT want to fry ANYTHING due to a short when riding. With my "luck" kwrma, etc, it'll happen somewhere out in BFE, and if it did fry, I could, catch bike on fire, or melt harness, ECU, blow battery (Li ION lightweight, just installed, probably, or fry some God Awfully expensive part thats eternally going in circles waiting to be unloaded with the other parts and bikes from China...NAaah, Solder and be ANAL with any electrical changes/upgrading/repairs...Thisor ...definitely NOT or !! hehe |

Plugs (shown with battery Tender)
Those are EXCELLENT plugs, and Harbour Freight sells them in a kit cheap, like 10 bucks! The "kit" has a cig lighter, USB port, test led light,Spring clamps (Jumper cable type, PERFECT for our bikes), spare male and female plugs, and a bit more. Certainly a great value, and super usefull. They stay somewhat waterproof, and have never given me a problem, even when wet. I HAVE NOT used in a salt water marine environment, and would not recommend that, as its not oringed or sealed past simple friction when pushed together. Also, unsure of metal composition, thus rust resistance. However, if you spray with "Boeshield" or "Corrosion Block" (my favorite you GTGo, in salt or ANY corrosive environment I've encountered! Its designed for aircraft electrical systems used in a salt water floatplane marine environment, and works as advertized, which is AMAZING! really.
Google it, and order from factory or distributor. I will spray my entire bike, pretty much, to insure it doesn't rut, and electrical contacts remain contacting! ECU boards when accessible are a great idea to coat/spray, for peace of mind. I usually spray EVERY transistor and connection when doing jobs, so they have a "head start" re corrosion and issues related to that. It works by evaporating the super light oils off and then leaving a waxy (looking) residue that has covered EVERYTHING before it evaporated and condensed. The runniness when initially sprayed, and the fine atomization of the nozzle insures a very good coating, and it goes Everywhere, under around, and through (if possible) f the entire electronic board, all wire and connectors, etc.! I originally found/saw it at a dealer Boat show in ATlanta, late 1980's. They had an aquarium 1/2 full of SALT water. In it was placed a small TV (old style, 80's, remember, which was ON, and plugged into a grounded 110v ext cord. Ran like that ALL WEEKEND! never skipped a beat, even. Bought 2 cases for my boat then and there. That boat, 10 yrs later, had a Pioneer CAR stereo, unprotected at that point, frame rusted to all hell. BUT turn it on and it sounded GREAT! Perfect, as NEW. There was NO corrosion on any board in the unit I could see anywhere. Speakers lasted a Summer, MAYBE, before rusting frozen, usually, and before that, def not "full range of sound" even sprayed best we could into magnets and voice coils... That was a notoriusly "WET riding boat , and salt water routinely was dripping off the radio while it blasted sound as it should AMAZING, IMHO. I buy electrical connectors (specialty ones for SOlar Panels) from a company that specializes in oddball connectors. I'll see what they can do when I get back to my Home office, and post it up here. |

I posted on one of these forums my list and its very similar to yours. I contacted RMMC about our bikes and the Baha Grp ride (and needs for that, as well as others riding home, or simply wanting Farkles and accessories for our new bikes.
Hopefully, we can get a Group Buy discount to apply to the purchases. I want my stuff shipped to CSC, so I can install for the ride back. There will be a pretty good sized GBuy, with our grp. Anyone know how many are planning the Baha trip? If we have 30+ in the grp buying a couple hundred + of stuff, that SHOULD get some discounts for us. As soon as I have time, I'll try to follow up on this and post it up! Maybe this PM and the ride home! Thanks for posting your needs on here. Its amazing how close our orders would be...insuring our grp is a good candidate for a Gbuy set up with SOMEONE's company!hehe |

Offhand does anyone happen to know the capacity of the OEM luggage? I'm loving the three way switch on the controls. Perfect spot for heated grips, A1 low,A2 high and of course O off.
