I can see that, culcune. The 17/47 on Mrs 2LZ TT provides a nice top speed (60+) but still retains a nice first gear for trails.

unibear uses a Quadra X ring seal.

Seems like all unibear chains have a o ring or a x ring seal?

Might be on their O-Ring chains too ? but the 428 O-Ring chains are spendy... might as well look into doing the 520 chain/sprocket swap at those prices

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIBEAR-Moto...-/131540582184

I originally thought the HD chain was sealed by the amazon pics/description, I slapped it on the bike and didn't even think twice about "not putting the o-rings on the master link" when I installed the HD chain... then when Cul and 2lz mentioned it, I went back to check, sure enough it's "not sealed"... at least not by "O/X-rings"

Question Is it sealed or is it not sealed? That is the question!

Ok guys. Here's the chain I ordered again. There's no mention of X-ring, o-ring or any ring. Drag your pointer over the pic to expand and notice that there's no extra space for a ring of any kind between the link plates. I'll double check again when I get home, as I have three of these ready to install on my workbench and make sure I'm not sniffing glue. I'll get back to you.

My chain is still in its sealed bag and I can't tell one way or the other. In the pics on Amazon if you zoom in to the links of the chain they look just like mine so I cant say if these chains are sealed or not?

Got my 2016 RED Brozz in 5 Days!! - VERY HAPPY

Hello Everyone - I just wanted to do a SHOUT OUT to PowersportsMax (PSM)

I ordered my 2016 Brozz at 9:15 AM Monday 12/5/2016 and got it at my door (Las Vegas) Friday 12/9/2016 at 1:10 PM - NO DAMAGE AND BEAUTIFUL!!

It came WITH the MSO - UNSIGNED. I made a ONE day trip yesterday to the BMS Warehouse to look at a 800CC Buggy I am considering buying and then drove 11 minutes to PSM to get the MSO signed. They told me I could have sent it to them and they would have signed and returned it to me but I was down there anyway.

I have an appointment to register the Brozz tomorrow at 9:15 AM. I already got it VIN checked last week. I also plan on taking a little ride ON THE STREET tomorrow afternoon.

I just bought a Yamaha XT250 Enduro (Fuel Injected) before I bought the Brozz. I got the Brozz as a SECOND Enduro for my wife

PSM was GREAT and I will purchase the 800CC Buggy from ONLY them IF I decide to buy the Buggy. I believe GOOD purchase experiences need to be recognized just as much as BAD purchase experiences - LVFLYER

Thanks, Scratch that one off the list. I'll need an o ring chain. One place where I ride there is real fine river sand that manages to get in the bearings of the chain. You can literally here the crunching of the sand. Make me cringe when I here it. I have to pull the chain every time I ride there and give it a good cleaning. I'm sure I don't get all the sand out. It's just a matter of time I will have to replace it.

Yep. chuck nailed it.

Here's a pic of the box and the chain. This is the 530 "gold" chain (not sure why) for my Rhino. Note the "solid rollers and bushes" emboldened on the box.

I've never heard of an x-ring chain. I've heard of (and owned) o-ring chains. Uni-Bear chains are extra strong, fully riveted, pre-streched chains of far superior quality to what came on the bike from the factory. Better metal, and better manufacture all the way around. It appears that the Chinese have not yet learned how to manufacture this quality of chain yet, but they will. Sooner or later they will realise that making chain links out of old Budweiser cans is not the answer. Merlin, if you bought a Uni-Bear chain, go ahead and put it on. It is light years better than what came on the bike. Sincerly, ARH

Never had that problem, even racing in the sand on the Husky in my younger days....or at least I never noticed it....but I was much less "anal" back then. ;-)

This is personal opinion only...(and we all know what those are like) but the only thing I don't like about the o-ring type chains that that they will let in tiny bits between the rubber ring and the chain plate, and the o-rings will eventually break down and leave gaps. If you change a chain "as we should", that's not really an issue though.

Like I stated earlier, the only o-ring chain I've run was when I knew that chain lube would not be in the equation. The O-rings would still allow the chain to move freely. The shiny chain, sprockets and rear rim made for a much sharper looking rear end on the show bike....without all the hassle of constantly wiping. It was a very nice application.
