I'm in love with your TS185! I really miss my orange '77.

I tell you what, once I get 1 running complete bike out of this, I'll make you a great deal on the leftovers if you'd want them. You'll have to come get them tho... It should be the complete TS185 engine, frame and most parts, but will not have air cleaner, gauges, and some small parts... I'll swap the best of both to mine, and I'll keep you posted on which way I go, as I reassemble the TC185. None have titles, so that's a negative... I'm thinking of keeping the TC185 tank because it's so clean inside, and clear coating the rough looking exterior, just to keep it looking faded and rough. The TS seat is better tho, so I'm keeping it for sure.

That's very kind of you! Truth is, I'm working on thinning the herd, since my bikes seem to multiply every time I shut off the lights. I want to get down to my TW, my Lifan, my quads and possibly my KLR250; all others will be sent to good homes. As well, I can't get a frame across the border without a title (I've tried). If I need a two-smoke fix, I'll ride my TS250 before I sell it.

Totally understand. I'm collecting too many myself so may have to thin the herd.

Weldangrind, question for you... does Canada have the diesel smart car? My son just bought a 2015 Smart Car, and while researching it, found that there is a diesel version that gets 80+ mpg. Wondered if a sectioned or wrecked Canadian version could be brought to the US and then retrofitted into a gas older version, if I found a cheap one down here...

Also, Happy Easter to all!

Many blessings!

Lance

Indeed, diesel Smart Cars were all the rage on this side of the border for awhile. I recommend that you check the Coparts website and see if there's one in your area. That's easier that dragging one across the border.

And thus lies the problem... they didn't officially make the Diesel for the USA... so, I'm thinking, get a Canadian wreck, bring it over and install the engine/tranny/etc. into an US one

I looked on Coparts, but no diesels down here...

You got that right. Did you see his "bunch of helmets"? He has all of them hooked on to something that makes them look like a bunch of bananas and it was controlled by remote and lowered itself out of the rafters. It was a genius idea for storing a boatload of helmets. It got me thinking.....

No, I didn't... he brought the bike to me... sounds amazing! I 'need' the same thing for my motorcycles.

Have a question about the Roketa this time! Rear monoshock is horrible. So, need an eye to eye shock of 12.5 inches, and relatively cheap. Any suggestions? Xr100 is too short and xt200 too long, so my parts bikes can't donate. It's a Beta Alp clone, but a shock is 599$ new, so that idea is out too... motorcycle junk yard and a tape measure?

Not sure, but I think the Yamaha Blaster rear shock is similar in length.

Blaster is 15"
I think a DR125 is about 3/4 inch longer than mine. Am bidding one an eBay one right now.
