HELP! SSR 110

ok got my son a SSR 110, delivered today.

I put it all together and changed the oil.

I started it BUT is seems the throttle is stuck wide open! HELP

Think its a Carb issue? I tried screwing the idle screw in and out but nothing changed.

Unscrew the top off the carb, the odds are that the slide was put in backwards ( theres a pin in the carb body and a slot down one side of the slide to line it up ), when installed backwards the slide will not go down all the way as it gets stuck on that pin and holds it near wide open, you should pull the air filter off to verify it is working properly before starting again, also while the air filter is off make sure you oil it, either with K&N air filter oil if it;s the cotton pleated type or Foam air filter oil if it's a foam filter.

That's a new one! I can't figure out how the idle would rev so high with a backwards bowl. Major vacuum leak maybe?

I didn't mean you had a vacuum leak, I meant the carb.

BTW, it's time to update your sig to include your son's new SSR 110.
