Removing Smog Equipment?
Has anyone removed the smog equipment from their bike. If so, what did you remove and how did you plug the holes? I have a small nipple in the intake manifold and a bigger one the the cylinder head. Does this stuff take any performance away from the engine?
TIA

I have...I just used a bit of the shipping crate and a bit of grinder work to shape it. I then drilled 2 holes to mount it using the existing bolts and used the existing gasket as well. Not pretty, but works and no leaks

This is what I was meaning in my first post. Is there a problem plugging this opening up? I'm just going to cut a small aluminum plate and block it off.

Yes take a look on page 5 and you will find what we did. If anything it made the bike run better, the plastic hose burns up anyway so you need to get rid of it.

Yes, that's what I planned to do. I can cut a pretty little bracket out of aluminum to bolt right in there. I have some copper sealant that should seal everything up tight.
Thanks!
