Your car by my estimates.
3500/300=11.7lbs per hp. That is a big difference.
well said, now if i could get the stang to under 3000pds it would be very quick.. but some weight is a good thing for traction

fastdoc-- if you have not done so, look up the mgw orange handled shifter for your vette.. its an amazing shifter.. when i first got the stang i couldnt hit 3rd during a fast shift to save my life.. id have to slow my shifting down for going into 3rd.. dont have to do this after this shifter was in stalled..

That's embarrassing. An American V8 beat by a Datsun.
Sounds like the 80's all over again! 8O

well it sure was not for the lack of trying on my part. i have a fairly modded stang, but he not only had some mods to but he was boosted..

now for the record this race lasted for longer then a 1/4 mile... had it have been a legal 1/4 mile race, i would have won...

im sure my dad still has the hotrod magazine filed away i will just have to find it. the article may have been refering to specific points of weight removal front bumper etc. i cant really remember it was back in the early nineties. i do however know that the 31lbs that i have lost seemed to make a noticable difference on my zong's power lol.
