Attention Beer Lovers!
I visited my brother in Saint Louis, Missouri, during Christmas, and I stopped to take a tour of the famous Budweiser Brewery. I thought you might enjoy some photographs.
You get to visit the Clydesdale stable before you view the brew house. Here is a photograph of the Clydesdale Tack Room. The first part of the tour includes a visit to the impressive Brew House. Among other things, you get a description of Budweiser’s beechwood aging process. As you walk through the plant, you get to visit the brew kettles. You also learn about the straining process. Among other things, you get to visit one of the bottle lines. This particular line cans a lot of Budweiser! After visiting the Brew House, the tour ends in the famous Hospitality Room. Here you get to sample your choice of several Anheuser Busch beers. Some people consider this last stop the best part of the tour. Of course, we all know Idaho is noted for potatoes. However, many people do not realize that the superb, Idaho barley is one of the main ingredients in Budweiser, and many other beers. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...3/ai_87870000/ After returning home, I recently stopped south of Idaho Falls and took a few photographs of my Zong in front of the Anheuser Busch Malting Plant. Every time you drink one of the Anheuser Busch beers, you support the Idaho barley growers; Idaho thanks you for your support! Spud

Woot!! Beer! Awesome pics as always Spud! Bud used to be my favorite, but now I drink Kokanee. Isn't it funny how the Zong looks right at home where ever you photograph it?

I live a mere 2-hour ride from Yellowstone National Park; the ride to "Beer Mecca" requires two full days! Spud

I'm not a beer drinker myself, but that looks like a cool factory
Turbo, I like Molson commercials too, even if Molson Canadian is owned by an American company and uses the colors Red White and Blue in it's logo.

Indeed, I was reading the numbers about that line in the one picture. I really like the style of the outside of the building too.

I agree with you on that Molson has some really good commercials. My cell phone ringtone is actually the "I AM" anthem :P

Isn't it great how I and you managed to turn this thread of the king of American beer into a patriotic display of good Canadianism!
Sorry Spud. Thanks for sharing the photos of the beer factory. One who appreciates a good 'pop' now and again always likes to see how it's made, whatever the brand. |

Good point, sorry Spud.
I sort of had a similar tour, the difference was my tour was at a small brew-pub, absolutely nothing like the factory you got to see.

There is no need for apologies, gentlemen; I enjoyed reading your comments. The Anheuser Busch brewery is a very interesting place to visit. I was unaware the AB products relied so heavily on Idaho barley until I took the tour! I frequently ride by the Idaho Falls barley malting plant, so I was reminded of my AB photographs from Saint Louis; I thought you gentlemen might enjoy viewing them.
