License and Title in Wisconsin
I have a Lifan 200 GY-5.To get Title and License Plates I had to bring the MCO, bill of sale (receipt), and pictures of the bike. The pictures of the bike showed the following. (1) The VIN number on the frame by the handlebars. (2) The federal certification sticker on the swing arm. (3) The emission sticker on the plastic by the seat. (4) And an overall picture of the bike showing headlight, turn signal and taillight. Believe it or not the first person I spoke to at the DMV was kind of rude and I had to work hard to get any info from her as to what I needed to get the bike titled. She told me to get the above info and send it to their main office. She said that it would take 8 weeks to get a title if they would even give me one. She was a real ray of sunshine, all this after an hour and a half wait. I went back the next day with the info above and 20 minutes later I walked out with Title and plates in hand.
