Hey Pete,

Sorry to hear of your frustration level. You had mentioned to me you've been having a lot of discussions, didn't know the extent of it.

I pulled away from Gio for a while, as the last time I received replacement items, I got a rear shock for a Mini ATV when I asked for one for a mini beast. Different as we've discussed. At that point, I had been dealing a lot with trying to get some items for a couple problem quads in the box. Nothing major, but just things you 'need' to have as good a product as possible.

I was burnt out, and just left the whole shock thing alone, as I didn't want to return it, or pay more for shipping for one shock.

I haven't needed to deal with any of this until I just got the Big Beast, where I of course needed some items to make it right in my mind. Luckily I've got what I ordered and I'm hopeful since the shocks do have some air in them, they will hold pressure when I charge them up... I do understand your frustration. My suggestion, is to get some saddle time in your units and enjoy yourself for a few months before worrying about needing anything else. Time and enjoyment of the product will ease your frustration...hopefully in that time nothing breaks!

Did you get a black springed rear shock that holds air at least??

Sorry to hear of your ongoing saga. Sounds like you might be more ripped than I am about this and I am pretty ticked.

So your fix with epoxy failed? Did you query John as to what action he would take if subsequent shocks were also bad?

As for what type of business you are used to..I dunno.....wanting more cash to put this right says more about ones character imo. I had every expectation of spending a bunch more money on at least two more bikes and hes willing to blow that off for $30.us. Just wierd.

TurboT, good idea...I hate leaving things "hanging" though. This issue will bug me until I get it resolved, even if I just give up and chop them in to little pieces. In my mind, that "resolves" the issue. Wrong end result, but its over.
Wayne, epoxy worked, but not for long. Air/Nitrogen molecules found a way out and the shocks released all pressure.

Bottom line, yes, it failed.

Rear shock is black spring. Red disk is installed on an angle. Snap ring invisible on one "side" of shock and above red disk by 1/8" on the other side. The word to use is Locked but with a "C" since the filters take out the word that sounds the same as a male rooster.

It arrived with no pressure.

It is currently holding 160psi of Nitrogen. If it holds, I'll leave well enough alone. Tired of fscking with these items.

I have sent John an email telling him he sent the wrong item, what are we going to do about it, and telling him I'm tired of the headaches involved with these shocks.
I referenced my original auction for the 2 front shocks, the invoice/order number, and the Paypal invoice which I paid by credit card.

I dont mind spoon feeding him, but good Lord do I have to chew the food as well?

I'm of the mind that he will think I'm trying to get one over on him somehow, but we'll see IF he responds.

EDIT: After thinking about this somewhat, I sent him another email telling him I cant be bothered dancing with him any longer. Invoice me the 30 buck "fee" and just send the damn replacement shocks. I figure after another 20 emails and effort on my part this is where we were going to end up anyway, so why not just cut to the chase and get it over with.

There will no longer be UPS authorization to leave packages without a signature. I will inspect them first if possible. I'm sure I will still order from GIO, but it's going to very cut & dried from here on out.

A little damage? Sure, no problem, I'll take it. It happens.

Wrong color or wrong part? Its being refused and I will INSTANTLY dispute the cc charge. Try eating half a dozen charge backs. Things get unpleasant quickly.

The nice thing about using paypal, and a credit card, is that you should be able to easily get the money back through the dispute process.

John has not bothered to reply, so as of Monday morning I'm disputing the charges.

I do not do this lightly because it will end any type of rapport I had with the guy, but if he wont bother to reply then I have no choice.
