Polaris E.V. thoughts
http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-.../Overview.aspx
Hmm. 25mph top speed and a 50 mile range....I thought golf carts were invented already? Perfect to ride for a 2 hr trip...just far enough to Not have any electricity, nowere to plug in and an 8 hour wait to charge if you find a GAS GENERATOR to plug into... Might be a nice ride in town...but they won't legalize those here . Good start...but is it. I would have to ride it. Putting some solar panels on the roof/hood from factory might be cool...

I have an EZGO with a lift kit and 22" tires. 36volt. I think it is 3hp. Well it does not go 25mph or 50 miles on a charge. It does have regenerative braking. Not recommend for long steep hills.
Its fun around the yard, but I couldn't see it going to far into the woods. Hunters like them. Its quiet and easy to drive.

Maybe as an around the house vehicle on a ranch or farm :? ...But I can't see it being any use off road. It's super slow and 50 miles is not that far at all...And I am sure they are stretching on that.

The Polaris EV would be perfect for me. I would rarely leave my property with it, so I would not be concerned with the range.
Very interesting! SamM

Are they more/less expensive than their gasoline counterparts?
Polaris always impressed me with their large vehicle line-up and features. I remember riding a Sportsman 500 (first ATV with independent rear suspension) for the first time; smoothest off-road ride I've ever encountered.

It lists for $10699.00
I'm not sure what the other side by sides list for. SamM

Resorts, golf courses/country clubs, beaches(?),gated comunities,Nat. Parks .... There probably would be a lucrative, green, market. Probably a new era for polaris. Good for them... as long as they still sell a conventional of some sort.
oh and ranger 400 utv $7999 msrp
