Genata GT250L-RE carb trouble?
Hello. I own a Genata GT250L-RE, 4-stroke 2008 model, and Im having engine problems. I assume the problem is in the carburator.
I have read almost every single thread in this forum and googled for about a month, but without any positive results. The carburator I have is a Deni (deKni) PZ30. I have bought a new spark plug. I have cleaned, and air-compressed the entire carburator. I have tried with a different battery. I have tried adjusting the two screws in almost every possible option. I have refilled the fuel tank with new fresh gasoline. I have checked (not sure what its called) the black rubber ring thats between the carburator and the intake, which is fine. I have checked the vacuum hose which also is fine. It still sounds like its getting too much air. Does anybody know the exact setting for this carb? thanks in advance |

Well I think I figured out the problem.
The wire that connects the coil and the spark plug was literally hanging by a thread. It broke when I touched it. So anyone know where I can buy a new coil for my Genata 250cc? |

I'm guessing that the original symptom is that the bike wouldn't start. I wasn't sure what "Im having engine problems" meant.
eBay is always a good source for cheap parts. Don't be concerned about seeing your specific brand online; the coils are quite generic. Be more focused on finding a coil that looks the same and is intended for a 250. Cheers!

My problem isnt that the bike wont start. It starts just fine, and even idles with and without choke. But if I give it full throttle fast, it dies immediatelly. This is when the engine is cold. When the engine is hot, its a struggle just to get it started, and when it eventually starts it needs choke. I replaced the coil, with only minor improvements. The new coil I bought are far from similar to the original one, but according to the guy I bought it from, the new one should work just perfect. Thanks again for youre time and help |

Sounds like a fuel starvation. Also have you check the valves?

Do you have an air leak? Spray some carburator cleaner around the carburator body and intake manifold while it is running. Any change in engine operation indicates that there is an air leak sucking in the carb cleaner.
