Probably would be cheaper/easier to just swap a 125 replacement engine in it.

The cool thingf about swapping in a 125 engine is that it will be a true four speed with a clutch. You'll be able to wring out every last pony!

weldandgrind found this bargain priced 125 engine on ebay the other day, copy and paste this number on the search window: 350083588498
A four-speed manual 125 cc LIFAN engine complete with everything except carburettor can't be bad for $229.95

This is my last comment as I see no reason to have to respond to three different threads on basically the exact same topic posted by a person who just keeps asking the same questions hoping to hear what he wants to hear sooner or later.
This really is very simple if you just run the numbers. first starting with "how much do you have to spend" then you go to "what can be bought with how much you have to spend" then FINALLY you get to the "making the ACTUAL purchase" end of story! If you can afford a $600+ complete engine upgrade then you can probably save a bit more and just buy a whole new, better, faster quad right out of the gate. If you have a tight budget then a more modest upgrade could be done but YOU will have to find the best combination for YOUR budget and needs/wants. If the quad involved in this has a good suspension with REAL shocks and ohh lets say 6-9"'s of suspension travel front and back and great brakes on it then go for the monster engine upgrade but putting to much engine into a limited quad frame is asking for disaster and dissappointment. |
