mods?
hello. im new to this forum and would like to learn about my bike and the modifications i can do on it. I own a HSUN supermoto GY200. it is a dualsport basically straight from china. it has european speedometers so everything is in km/h. so i wanna buy a speedo in mph. also ive been looking into people modifying these bikes. ive seen a man who modified his LF200 street bike. lifan GY200 is basically the American version of my bike. I want to put a new pipe on mine and maybe a new jet. does anyone know where i can learn about how to do this? or where to buy these parts? or what size? please help! thank you. heres a link to a picture of my bike: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26582815@N07/3324803812/
check that out. give me some suggestions on what i should do![/img] |

Welcome. Alot of the mods you are after have been covered in the dual sport forum.
Not sure about swapping the speedometer. Allen

You can add a cheap bicycle speedo for about 20 bucks or less. I put a computer from Trail Tech on my bike.

I mounted the unit itself where the old speedo mounted. Hooked 1 wire to the battery. Another to the frame. Pulled the spark plug and re installed it with the temp. sensor. Wrapped the pick-up wire for the tach 5 times around the spark plug wire.
I drilled and tapped a 6mm hole in the rotor for the magnet. The pick-up just ty-wraps to the fork leg. Seem to remember it taking 30 minutes or an hour to do. |
