LOL!

They might find a taker or two, I have no pity for someone who doesn't know what market value is.

Too bad for the shop though, they are just going to hurt their business. The profit isn't in the bikes, it is in apparel, accessories and service. Once they sell a few some of the buyers are going to go looking for information on their bike. They may end up here or elsewhere but eventually they will figure out they paid a premium and word will get out locally.

Heck I feel taken advantaged of and I only paid $500 more than most of the members here, I justified that by consoling myself with; local pick up, registration ease and warranty. But I also had to pay $113 in sales tax.

The funny thing about that Pioneer is that "Pioneer" is not a Zongshen model. Pioneer is one of the dozens of brands that either use Zongshen to manufacture their brand, or use the Zongshen engine. The "Pioneer" is not a Zongshen per se. If you look at the Zongshenamerica site, their Ranger 200 is their common GY that is built to compete with Lifan GY's, Roketa GY's, Jetmoto GY's, etc. (To confuse matters, Zongshen manufactures for other brands, too) This is their low $1000 retail bike

The Sierra 200 is their premium enduro, which is built more as a Yamaha clone rather than a Honda clone (the majority of us have Honda clones). Polygon, you shouldn't feel bad for paying $2k--but if someone paid $2k for the Pioneer bike, we should all laugh at them!

Here's a link to the Pioneer site. Their XF200GY looks like Catastrophix's Qingqi, and the MSRP for all three bikes is over $2k, but none of the bikes are listed as "Zongshen"

The sad part is it's almost identical to our Roketa DB-07A's but without the OHC engine. I also noticed a tach which would be about useless. Certainly not worth $1000+ more. And the front brake resevior is plastic. Whoever this is just wants to sell a decent bike for a large profit. If the information I received is correct, most of these bikes cost dealers about $600-$700 depending on quantity ordered.

This bike is very similar to my Tank 200. The rear fender, which I needed a little while ago, looks to be the exact same, the tank plastics also look very similar. Engine side cases are different though.

the Tank 200GY model you have, the newer one of the two that they carry (carried? not sure if they have either enduro anymore), is definitely Zongshen derived, and, according to the dealer here, this one is, too.
