of course the chain expands when you ride, the heat generated by the friction of a chain on a sprocket is tremendous. and the jackshaft, OMG, had the ratchet turned the wrong way and snap the cheap ass chinese metric mother-F*&ker broke. and did you know that the damned plate that it mounts to is tapped???? and i couldn't find a decent replacement, even at my industrial workplace's maintenance shop. so i tapped it out to a 5/16 X 24 fine thread and replaced both of the bolts in the tire chain bearing. got a master and a half link and installed, after cutting a link out (S-t-re-t-c-h-i-n-g)and that put me comfortably tightwith the shaft all the way forward, adjusted out the rear, and let one of my friends from maintenance crew take it for a spin. after me of course , and i hear ya about the gold chain, will replace shortly, considering O-ring chain. and they have my size available on ebay for under 100 bucks. think it would be well worth it not to have to constantly check the chains. anyway, the scorpion feels more like the Phoenix, arising again from the ashes....

Thats good to hear!!! I cant help but say "Let the upgrades and repair
begine" :P On a liter note go to a motorcycle shop or a motorcycle
web site and get a 428 O ring chain.....15.-20. ea.
When I went in to get a chain, thay asked how long?I said give me
two of the longest that you have. That way with the left over and some
extra master links I can make new chains  .

PS Check your jackshaft berings...thay should be easy to re place.
if you need the part # for them let me know.(I used seald as oposed to
high speed)

Has anybody been able to keep the idle at 1500?
:P Ooops no ones got a Tack.
Well how about when your chopper is good and warm,
do it kinda "skip"around a lot? Sorta rev a wee bit then back to
idle then slow then speed up again.Mine ruffly fluxes from 1400/1700
and all numbers inbetwean.I cant get it to stay at 1500.
I would bet that its the rust but I would think that my filter would
take care of that.Im hoping this weekend to do my tank coating.
However I notesed that their are "2" tanks and thay arnt "conected"
as well as one would think. So before I coat Im going to weld a
fitting to conect both tanks with one fuel line. Then a fuel line to the
petcock( I said petcock...why dont they call it petpussy )
The reason is, many times I would "run out of gas" look in to the tank
to see like a half gal. :o .Sooooo if you look one side you fill and
one side the fuel line comes out.I think if one wants to do this MOD
one should get an extra tank to work with.
When I finaly get the fuel tank MOD'ed, coated, sand blasted, painted
Ill take the old one off and redo ALL the ele.wire from mid chopper
to nose.(Iv all ready rewired mid to tail.)Ill try to get pics up to my
photobucket site this weekend to see click on my vid.

Forklift that is the reserve, that you switch too on your pet"pussy". it is like that so that you know when you are really low on gas. can switch to reserve, and make it (theoretically) to the gas station. well i am gonna bring the scorpion home this afternoon. the guys at work are loving it now that they have ridden it. a couple even wanted me to steer them to dealers. lol, Imma start me a 3/4 chopper club where i work. I need to be a dealer for these things

I thought that's what it was to.But the extra tank I have has only
one "fitting"that comes out of the tank. That fitting attaches to the petcock.
So I cant see how it would access a "reserve."
Any hoo,yea ,once people see and /ride the thing they think it's cool.
I thought of being a dealer to but you would be working on them
more than selling. And I don't know about any one else but I want
more power in the Dragon Pkg.So I'm going to take this thing as
far as I can take it with MODS ,customising, and maybe a more powerful engine.

took a ride last night with my best friend and his lil brother, Amen. Floyd just got a 91 ninja from ebay, for a song, and his amen has a 2008 ninja, that he got this spring. they let me lead the pack, and its a good thing cuz my headlight wasnt set right, i really need to get a new one, thats brighter, where did you get yours forklift, and where did you get your combo speedo/tach. probably be my next two upgrades, well that and i got a guy at work that is gonna do some glass work on my front and rear fender. Close that gap in the back so it doesnt sling crap all down your back. and gonna lay a carbon fiber mat on it too. he was the one who was calling it a midget bike now he wants to help me make it something sweet. riding it changed his mind.

Send a message via Yahoo to SgtScorpion
http://www.procycle-online.com/main/vapor.htm This gets you a list of all the tachs made by vapor. There was one marked as universal for 115.00 i believe. But check ebay under vapor for a cheaper price, sometimes you get lucky with ebay. Most of my stuff came from there.

Before when I was talking about the chain stretching... i meant it keeps stretching. The more and more I adjust it keeps getting bigger, it never stops i swear. Like forklift said Im getting a good set of chains made of good metal. [/b]

they stretch and stretch until they break, unless you get an o-ring chain, they have grease on the inside of the chain links, sealed by orings, that keeps them cool thus they don't stretch or wear on your sprockets nearly as badly. here is a shop that sells the good stuff

Its Piss'en rain out here in Orygun And I don't want to ride till I get
my fuel tank done.My guess is 175.00 to weld the second fuel outlet,
"media" blast the paint off ,and paint. Then I still got to do the tank
treatment annnnd while the tank is off rewire from mid chopper to
nose.

i know what you mean. i got caught in the rain yesterday, and i am waiting for my tank to come in for my chopper too, mine had shipping damage, facilitating an ease of trade, but waiting for a tank is a long trek from china

It took her a sec to get the joke........she was unamused LOL.
Any hoo got a 6 in. or so brass pipe(Ill post the specks if this works)
