Nutmeg State Hello

Hi, Just got a bike and found this site...

I'm trying to figure out some specs on it (who made it, engine info, etc..).

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it...

I'm currently looking for a tach cable and a front fender.

Thanks,

It looks like my cousin 8O 8O 8O

Do you have any other specs or dealer info to provide?

Can you send pics of the riveted placards?

Was it drop shipped or dealer prepped?

Does it have a tach dial, or are you going to put a Harley Mini Tach on what? Most CDI set-ups use an electrical signal from the CDI to drive the tach.

The front fender should not be a problem. there are many vendors who carry Chinese dual sport aftermarket parts. You may have to surf a little, or someone may already have your source.

I think you will be OK to post again in the dual sport forum, There are some Chinese magicians who dwell there

I bought it from an estate along with three (3) mini-dune buggies. I'm not able to get an MSO/Registration or an original Bill-of-Sale.

I can't find any riveted placards as of yet... I'll look around again.

It has a mechanical tach. The cable is ~32-1/4 inches long. It looks like the Lifan LF200.

I think this is it...

I'll post and cruise over in the dual sport area.

Thanks,

Goes to show you about these tin beasts!

Born and bred in the US of A, I would swear that looks like a speedo cable to me. 8O

My 06 Lifan 200 G-Y has an electronic tach.

Someone else might give you a better perspective.

As far as the fender goes, you may have already spotted this at the Hooper site:

Someone let me know if I'm way off base here, I thought all the new Chinese 200s had an electronic tach.

We'll see you at DS,
Tigertamer

No problem. Most of the newer models have an electronic tach. I think a honda tach cable may work. It looks very similar. I may even have one.
