Consider yourself lucky that all you got was some abrasions on your bags. If those would have gotten into your chain or wheel.......be careful with bags and things that dangle. That could have been much, much worse.

It was tied tight when i left work, sometimes things just happen, its better not to dwell on the little things like that, luck has nothing to do with it if god decided that's how I'm gonna go, well that's just how I go. I came up with a solution and learned from it that's all that matters.

Wife ordered me a set of motocult crashbars, a different luggage rack and aluminum chain covers for our anniversary. So far the magic brown truck has only dropped off the luggage rack.

Went to harbor freight and bought a stand to work on the bike this weekend. My rear sprocket and chain made it in, still no sign of the tube amazon shows delivery Saturday. Went ahead and ordered an extra for the front and rear so if it happens again I can fix it right away this not being able to ride to work is for the birds!

Took the tire and tube up to the local mom and pop Harley shop (shout out jims cycle shop!) I work with through my job and they swapped the tube for free! I also grabbed some amsoil 10-40 to try on my next oil change. After I took the rear sprocket off of the rim I realized that my DLX hawk came with a 45 tooth stock in the rear, the front stock was a 16 I went ahead and put the 17 tooth on the front I can always swap back if I don't like it. Still have to install the new chain and then I'll be back on the road! 15 years working on diesel trucks, I realized I should have been a motorcycle mechanic everything is way lighter!
