Thread for Paladin

Successful in Missouri. MCO noting motorcycle in hand from PSM. New vehicles have no inspection requirements up to 150k miles in Missouri now. If it did, the Paladin has all necessary lights/horn/etcetera including DOT approved wheels and tires anyway. But some States may not plate the Paladin for road use.

For those that may not already be aware, Texas is doing away with safety inspections and emissions requirements for all non-commercial vehicles starting January 2025 (unless you live in the excluded counties). I’m not in an excluded county so I plan on waiting until January 1st and not having to worry whether or not my Paladin is going to pass.

I went to register mine today in Tennessee. Since it says "Off road motorcycle " on the MCO they told me they could give me a title but not register it for road use. Any idea if there is a way to get around this? My csc tt 250 was easy to register because they list it as a motorcycle on the MCO

Reach out to PSM and request an MCO that states "motorcycle" instead of "off road motorcycle"

Assuming you purchased through PowerSportsMax

Thanks for the tip! I called them and they are sending an updated MCO that just says motorcycle

Thanks Aussie in MO. I wish someone would have suggested this on at least one of these threads on chinese dual sports. Maybe we should start a section on registration issues.

Sorry if my question was redundant or has been covered a bunch previously. I posted here because it was the Paladin thread.

Registration of ALL new motorcycles works about the same. The MCO/MSO issue of off road versus "motorcycle" is pretty old on this site. Take some time to explore the resources you have here. It may surprise you. I know it may be inconvenient on a phone. A laptop would make it easier, or better yet, a desktop comnputer. It would make exploring the website way easier.

We answer many of the same questions about carburetors, valves, chain tension adjustment, and all sorts of purchase/registration issues over and over again.

Valuable contributors leave the site in frustration. I won't mention names, but they were really helpful. Sometimes I post links to the relevant info (on this site) instead of answer the same question again.... We do have a search tool that works if you learn how to use it.

Keep in mind, you are choosing between Japanese, German, Austrian, Canadian, Indian, and Chinese motorcycles these days. It is not like you have all that much choice.

Right on. Maybe this question in the Paladin registration issues thread will help the next person with paladin registration issues.
