New here!

Hey all, figured Id go for the intro. Im considering a KPX250 due to the specs, price, and almost non-existent negative reviews(at least from what Ive found so far). Started riding Hondas at about 8 years old and have had a variety of dirt and street bikes, all Hondas, for most of the 30+ years since. Started shopping the CRF300 Rally this fall, but the KPX250 really has my curiosity piqued. Wife and I will be empty nesters in 2-3 years and plan on picking up the dream of some pretty major road trips with a good amount of trail/off road jaunts along the way. We have lived all over the place from Alaska, Colorado, Mexico, and a variety of others but currently in Wisconsin. We have a lenghty list of places we wanna hit on motor bikes, but she is pretty inexperienced on them yet.

My thinking is to grab one of these KPX250's now for her to get more experience and comfort on before we are really ready to do anything major, and also for me to put thru the ringers and decide if I love or hate it or if I wanna go back to my beloved Hondas. Are there any riders doing serious trips on these bikes? Everything I can find on youtube seems to be pretty new bikes, or people mostly messing around off-road or just around town. Its a bit of a struggle for me to envision these being true adventure worthy bikes, but Im a big fan of having my mind changed! Thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Thanks a bunch, and looking forward to the journey!

Welcome aboard! You can't go wrong with the KPX. Several members on here own one. The quality of the Lifan bikes are hard to beat and American Lifan stands behind what they sell with a two year part warranty. The only draw back of the KPX is that it's a talk bike. I'm 5'10" and can't flat foot it. But who cares. Lol I still love the bike.

Is anyone lowering these? I cant find much online. She fits on a crf250 pretty well, and they are listed as 34.8", only about 1/2" lower.

She should be okay. You can adjust the rear spring load to have a little more sag.
