What kind of bike do you have? If it's the standard 250 (223cc) engine that most of the Chinese dual sports come with, you should be able to use these:

I used that one on my Orion RXB. Bolted right up. No fuss whatsoever.

You can make one with a piece of 1/8" think aluminum or steel flat bar. Aluminum will be the easiest material to work with. I've made all of mine out of aluminum. Use the stock gasket as a template.

Jerry saving the day as always!

While we're on this topic - does anyone know what this third tube going from the bypass module is doing? It looks like it goes to the tank but I can't be sure.

I know left goes to airbox and bottom is from the head - but before I cut this third one short and cap it I wanted to see if anyone has a better solution.

Edit: Image isn't displaying so I linked it as well.

I did this bypass the same way JerryHawk250 did on my last bike, but it was 9 years ago. If memory serves me correctly, the larger tube goes to the air box and can be capped there. The smaller tube was a vacuum line controlled by either a solenoid or reference vacuum tap off the carburetor, and can also be capped at the source. Either way you should be able to just trace the lines back. If I am off here, someone please correct me.

Yeah after digging into it more the smaller line goes to the elbow flange between the carb and engine. I was a bit confused because in some older posts I saw people saying it goes to the crankcase.

There is another separate set of tubes that do seem to link the crankcase, airbox, and a small filter/valve - so probably just a breather tube - but it looks like I'm good to leave those!

This would be a good side hustle for someone.. with my old Honda Fury there was a guy who fabricated and sold block-off plates (2 were required) for $15 if memory serves, although it was slightly more complex than what we require here.

These are so simple to make. Personally I wouldn't pay anyone for them. Pick up a piece of 1/8" aluminum flat bar at Lowes or Home Depot for less than $5. Use the gasket and trace it out. A hacksaw or metal cutting blade on a jigsaw makes quick work of it. Drill two holes and file or sand the edges. Less than a 5 minute job. You can make quiet a few from a 3' long bar.

I've thought about doing the same but had a piece of aluminum stock handy already.

ERG Block Off Plate...

Hi,

Here's a link for a ERG Block Off Plate on EBay. It sells for $5.85 with $4.95 shipping costs (go figure)...

Hope this helps...

Joe...

Gasket for the plate

Hey guys, I started doing this on my venom ghost 250, but it’s been 1300 miles since I got it. So now the gasket that comes with it, is baked on and I’m not sure how to take it off with braking it. Any chance anyone know where I can get a gasket?
