Paladin 300 possible dead fuel pump
With 7 miles on the odometer the fuel pump died on me, I think they copied KTM's design. Felt just like when you leave the petcock off on a carbureted bike. Checked all the fuses, nothing blown. When you turn the key to run you'll hear the fuel pump priming the system, now I get nothing. I'll let you know how difficult it is to warranty this.

Should be an easily waranteed item. Make a short video and offer a link if they want evidence. PSM always takes care of this kind of thing.
I just took a ride. Lots of fun including some offroad berm busting. The cat gets HOT. I am going to make an offset shield AND wrap. and, I typically blip the throttle to match downshift rpm, but EFI doesn't respond in that time frame. I had exactly the same experience on my neighbor's KPX and my Suzi Bandit 1250 (lesser extent). It is a sampling rate issue. It isn't a real problem. It is a learning curve. This is a case where my brain is faster than the computer Fortunately, I can anticipate, twist the throttle before I want the rpm blip. This engine has powerful engine braking. It is way more than the 172FMM zongshen. It is useful, but again, learning curve. The simple answer is don't downshift as early as you used to

I am still waiting on PSM to get back to me, I can see that they have watched my videos several times now. The harness side plug gets power, so we're good there. I believe the pump has an internal short, it just heats up my test plug wires instantly when 12v is applied directly.

Oh man that is a bummer. Hopefully they will get one out to you soon. Did you speak with someone on the phone about the issue? I know this is a warranty situation, but is it a fuel pump that is readily available elsewhere if needed down the line?

Sorry to hear as well.. that’s kinda my worry when it gets more complicated with ecu’s, fuel pumps, injectors.. it’s one thing finding a $20 carb online but that makes things a little trickier for sure, but I’m sure PSM will take care of you as they have for me when I had issues as well as many others I’m sure that can vouch for them.
