Bunch of stuff. Only one of them fun, though Mrs.C might argue that.
The yard went to hell this year due to Mrs.C's and my health issues in the spring, so two bags of winter lawn fertilizer. Tree wrap for the apple trees to keep the critters from munching on the bark...and to keep me from smacking the same with the mower deck. New blower motor for the 4 car garage attic fan. That was a lot of fun to put in. A box of M8x1x20 bolts from Mcmaster, though I only needed two. None of the hardware stores carried M8x1 bolts except in SS. I'll slam my head in a car door before I use SS bolts on anything again. And...Arlo Guthrie's' "Alice's Restaurant" on CD. I wanted vinyl, but I don't like Arlo enough to spend fifty bucks on a vinyl album. I did visit the local Harley dealer for the first time ever. They're closing their doors on Saturday due to too many Harleys and too many Harley dealers in the area. So, having a clearance sale. Saw three bikes that I like but I walked out with the same amount of cash I went in with.

Found a 2l goat milking machine for less than $20aud...Yes I'm turning into a farming gadget person.
Kinda urgent with 2 goat kids born less than a week ago...They are fine but the mother is over producing on 1 side...(goat farmer issues) With the Prime membership getting poked again I also got to watch the final Grand Tour (Zimbabwe) episode...So not a bad deal. Though Im tapping into 450MT savings so my "what did you buy today" actually needs to be what did I save up for in 6 months instead... |

A night in an Army Corp of Engineers campground. Man, I really, really hate the campground registration system used now.

Paladin 300
Yes. It is. And by the way... there is indeed an oil level window, right side under the clutch assembly. I see oil
and a radiator fan on the right side, and a cast alloy cooling plate behind/in the headlight ass'y, and a lithium ion battery, and they give you a blank replacement number plate if you want to race it more to come I got the shipping crate removed. Here we go: ShippingCratedisasswembled.JPG

Incredible value for the price, aluminum radiator guards don't come on the CRF300L(only has one radiator!) or the KLX300. Aluminum rear sprocket. Unknown pink coolant, I will most likely flush this out for a known Asian vehicle pink coolant. ECU resembles the NC250/300/450 engine series down to the black and gray plug labels. The Loncin ECU in the Voge 300 looks completely different and has less pins despite running the same engine. Strange? |

Much less assembly required on the paladin. The rear suspension is assembled, but the tail is not (easier I think).
Yes, I bought blue loctite! I will move my discussion to one of the other threads, but NOT the Paladin Resource thread, which should be elevated to sticky and used to post answers, NOT questions. Not that anyone listens

Permatex Threadlocker, Not loctite
OK, I thought I bought loctite yesterday, but I guess I grabbed the Permatex Threadlocker GEL. I had no idea there might be consequences...
PermatexThreadlockerGel.JPG I am sure it is good stuff and doesn't drip and run, but look at that "applicator". Flat foot with a hole in the middle. You can't point this into female threads. I used a narrow spatula. A pointed nozzle tip would work better with the gel. I guess Permatex expects everyone to apply the threadlocker to the bolt, not the nut. The bolt for the kickstand goes into a threaded hole in the kickstand tab, and you need to grease the kickstand section of the mounting bolt, and there is a locking nut on the backside that needs loctite. A pointed application tip would work better everywhere in my opinion!

I've used that in the past and just squeezed out onto my finger to apply where needed.. i've since been using this, i like that it has a sealable pop-up/down tip to keep the contents from drying at the tip, plus great price for the quantity and it works awesome:

Another year of insurance on the DeSoto and airline tickets to Bangor, ME. There's a grand up in smoke.
