GCDR - Great Continental Divide Route

Just found out about this one. This one has a red section that goes down Paradise Road. I've been on it a couple times on the Hawk, once last year and once this year. I really need to do a video on it. It is NICE!

I'd love to have time to explore those places. I used to live in Los Alamos which is maybe a couple of hundred miles East of the Divide. Actually, anywhere in the Rockies there are lots of Forest roads and winding roads.

Highway 72 heading North out of Nederland, Colorado through Ward, CO and farther North is an awesome high altitude winder. I rode that on my Suzuki DL1000 (VStrom). High speed fun. Nederland is up at the top of Boulder canyon (from Boulder). Boulder canyon itself is great. Curve after curve. But the views up top on hwy 72 are worth the trip getting there.

72 splits and you can drive up to Estes Park through the mountains (more beauty), or head down the canyon through Lyons (home of Oskar Blues brewery) to Longmont (home of 4 Hands brewey). Gee, I wonder why I knew those breweries are on that route
