I was able to tag the Templar X in TN but did need the MCO to state 'Motorcycle'. PowersportsMax sent me a revised one with no problems. The Templar is a 'tall' bike unless you do the lowering mod described on this forum.

My Bashan Storm had the counterbalanced version of the CG250 (233cc Honda clone) made by Zongshen. Yes, it was a 5 speed, but you can always change to a larger front sprocket, and smaller rear sprocket to lower the rpm at highway speeds. 14hp limits top speed no matter what (wind drag mostly).

I do not know if that Zongshen CG250 on the BMS 250 CRP is the counterbalanced engine. It is definitely a Bashan bike, but I see no mention of counterbalancing.

The left case cover (stator/rotor side) on the BMS 250 has an oil level window below it (nice). I think that the left case cover has an extension forward of the crankshaft, which could be linkage to a counterbalancer. Maybe the best thing would be to contact Bashan directly to clarify this. Here is their website:

I think they can tell you accurate info on that engine. Not sure PSM has all details.

I sent a request for info on the Bashan 250 CRP, asking about the engine. This is the response I got.

"It's discontinued model and no more will be distributed"

I think it's done. No one seems to have stock either. Maybe one place in Arlington. Pick up in person, NOT assembled would be wise.
