I took one out of Jerry’s book of tricks ,and bought a brand new never starter Hangkai “racing” model 4hp air cooled outboard for a whopping $60.00 .I am not expecting much ,but the guy I bought it from blasted the recoil assembly to pieces on his very first pull .New starter is ordered for $30.00 ,although I should look and see if I have a starter from a mower that might fit (Honda gc possibly ? ) . It’s a 4 stroke lawnmower engine ,without looking into anything my money says the kid put in the oil ,loaded it into the trunk of his car on its side ,and hydro locked it with the engine oil , busting the plastic starter .I have a shitty flat back canoe I want to get rid of and this motor will go on that to help it leave .

Now the wait begins..

Nice choice. Nice deal! It's exactly what my son bought in April. A blue one, but without that discount! If it ships from the Dallas suburb warehouse, it could arrive quickly.

I'm hoping it ships from Carrollton, that will greatly minimize the amount of contact the freight company has with it. May see if I can just take my trailer and pick it up at the Houston terminal when it arrives.

RunLeader RL-TM004 Electronic cylinder head temperature gauge for Arpok. The duel needle gauge of questionable heritage crapped out after 8 years.

That's the warehouse I am referring to. It's where our Templars came from.

After last Friday night's drenching in the sidecar. Mrs.C agreed to the purchase of a leather door for the sidecar. I've been suggesting this for a few years but she always shot it down as unnecessary.

It gets pretty uncomfortable in there if I've forgotten to pack the rain pants. The door won't eliminate the wet lap but it will reduce it.

So, did keeping the sidehack wheel in the gutter line at 40 MPH expedite her change of mind?

Timken bearing kit

Timken 3500lb trailer wheel bearing kit- races, bearings, seal.

Well you can't buy a dirt bike, sportbike, adventure tour, made in USA.

But my utility trailer has a standard 3500 lb #84 axle, so I can get a Timken kit for it. Made in USA and top quality. Just costs more than the Chinese imports. Here is where we struggle to make the decision, do I support domestic manufacturing. For me, the answer is yes, when I can.

The good news is I may not need the kit for a while. The right side just needed a new seal and grease packing. Rolls nice

No, though I'll need to try that sometime.

It was a hard sideways rain out of the west while we were heading south. She was blocking the rain from hitting me until she hunkered down in the tub.
