Today, I wrapped up my purchase by booking a three-night stay at https://www.westgateresorts.com/hote...souri/branson/ for an upcoming trip to Missouri. I’m really looking forward to it, I’ve heard great things about the views and amenities there. Before that, I grabbed a few new accessories for my car, but securing the hotel was the last thing on my list.

Yesterday, a starter from eBay.

Today, a starter solenoid and a fuel system relay from Amazon, just to have (in case...).

Auction scores. A monitor arm for my PC. Got another desk and it's shorter so the monitor is too low. A positionable arm is an overkill solution but hey. Also a towbar I could potentially use to drag my little truck behind the RV. Didn't need it actually but threw a little bid at it. And lastly a carry case for my Oculus 3 as it doesn't have a place to sit. Grand total for all three a whopping $25.

Welp ....... Looks like I'll have some spare parts. The starter won't be here til this weekend. I ordered some relays and a starter solenoid as cheap back-up and they came quick. I can't sit idol so tried a relay, no change. Disconnected battery, swapped solenoids, and behold, everything worked even the starter. Started to wonder, so I put the old solenoid back on. Everything worked.

I'm a dumbass! I think one of the battery cables screws was cross threaded and not quite tight enough. The problem seemed more than starter to me...

Soooo, would it be correct if a person were to say "you may have had a screw loose"?

I didn't buy it today, but I received it today. I got the 3X but my measurements said I needed the 4X. 4X was out of stock, so I got the 3X and it fits pretty good. It comes with full armor in the elbows, shoulders and back and zips up to the HWK pants I bought a while ago. Also has a removable liner. For the price, I am amazed. The Fonz jacket is cool, but more suited for a big cruiser. Also, it's VERY warm in the summer.

I'm sure I'll be modeling it soon, but here's the stock photo:

I have a couple of HWK jackets. I have a mesh one for summer and a lined one for the winter. They have held up well over the years.

I have an Alpha branded jacket and pants. I think they are made by the same manufacturer. A friend has the HWK pants and jacket and the tags are identical. I am impressed with what I got vs what I paid. The Alpha brand was few bucks cheaper than the HWK when I purchased.

$4 on Aliexpress

Smart test light probe. Upgrades simple light bulb model to a color LED that goes red on negative ground detection and green if it detects positive ground. It also has a volt meter built in so not only can you do simple circuit tests but read voltage for more information without having to switch and pull out a DMM. They wanted $20-$60 for these on Amazon so I went to the source via Aliexpress for $4 and a couple weeks delivery time. My particular model handles 5volts up to 96volts. I will mainly use mine for the 12volts on my motorcycle and cars.

The voltage meter is within 0.1volts from my DMM reading.

I have the Snap On version of that. Which I seriously doubt is all that much better and I don't care to think about what I paid for it. Downside of mine is and old school test read just glows which you can see from any angle where this one has to have the readout actually facing you so you can see what's going on.

Two sub sandwiches from Al & Joe's deli in Schiller Park, Illannoy. Mrs.C asked for one as she hadn't had one since October, the last time I flew for work. We forgot how good they were.
