AliExpress fork upgrade Boom Vader Grom clone
Hello, just wanted to do a little write up on installing the AliExpress forks for a grom clone since I didn't find one myself.
I bought these forks from AliExpress for about 210$ link below https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKJbdk0 Notes on fitment, the fat fork caps meant I had to buy 7/8 30mm tall bar risers to get it to fit. I bought the 715mm long fork so the brake line had to be longer than stock at 900mm. These forks feel considerably stiffer than the stock forks (and look better too) not to mention not only do they sag less but also since it's the 715mm the front end is considerably taller making the bike feel WAY better when cornering. The stock combo of stiff as hell rear and 50% sag front makes the bike feel super strange, almost like it wants to "push"? Hard to explain but now it feels normal instead of feeling Chinese or clapped. Anyways huge upgrade for my 230lbs ass, very worth the money. |

I have these forks (or some clone of them probably), but in stock length. I already had bar risers on, so no changes needed for me.
But yes, they are light-years better than even OE Grom forks. I'd say it's a mandatory upgrade. |

Look like the Vader 150 forks.

I have Ali Express forks as well and they are much better than the stock Vader forks. I do need a 1 or 2 mm washer to keep the forks from pinching in a little bit so to anyone looking, take that into consideration. Check to see if your new forks line up or if they squeeze or push out.
