Ai yi yi, what a continuing shitshow.
I had breakfast with Harold yesterday and asked him if he was counting down the hours to Aug 31. He said minutes and as far as he's concerned, he's already retired. Apparently, the sole Service guy in Beaufort asked for Harold's help with a warranty issue and Harold told him he had to start discussing this with Harold's replacement. The new Harold has had a year to learn the ropes and still hasn't gotten his feet wet. While at breakfast, Harold got a call from one of the sales guys who was on a rampage. The guy has worked for a year to sell a machine to a transit down south. He'd finally gotten them interested. The transit had agreed to buy one and had the cash. The sales guy submitted an invoice to the parent company in France and the French said, "Nah! Not interested." That was a $250K order out the window for an outfit short on cash. Lastly, I received an email from the new international CEO requesting my attendance at a Zoom meeting. I declined. He emailed back it was required. I responded that I no longer work for you and if my attendance is required, I require $5K for that attendance. Crickets.
