RE Scrambler 650 and Himalayan 850?

Early days, rumors are these bikes are in the works at Royal Enfield.

The Scrambler basically seems like they took the interceptor and given it more travel in the suspension which is needed for off road and the muffler has been relocated on the test bike and spoke wheels and blacked out engine and looking like it sports a 17/19 wheel setup with non adjustable usd forks and perhaps preload adjustable rear.

The 850 adventure bike is a lot of ifs and buts as well as maybes. Prototype one off bike for now so far so it may not go into production. A bored out 650 for an 850 twin. It’s looking heavy for its power. Fairings give it an almost rounded 450MT look for this prototype.

most of the ADV bikes are heavy and generally more road oriented. perhaps they are going after the CFMoto 800?

I think that 850 is more of a prototype or test bed as it really does not look at all like the current or past Himalayan. It is dressed again like the 450MT or being so rounded has an almost 80’s Africa Twin profile.
