Which way for two yellow wires from rectifier to motor

Hi all I have a Zongshen 250cc motor I am using the CDI, rectifier and solenoid parts from a TDR 200cc motor I had before, I noticed the rectifier has two wires that are yellow and pink for the charging and the Zonshen also has these two colours on the main plug from the motor wires, but the plug that goes from the rectifier to the main plug is using these pink and yellow wires but they are both yellow and are swapped around so pink to yellow and yellow to pink I drew a diagram to make it clearer this is how the TDR was wired when I got it but should pink go to pink and yellow to yellow if you imagine there was no plugs between the motor wires and the rectifier

I saw this video he explains the two yellow wires are just signal wires to the rectifier and it doesnt matter which way they go I'm hoping he's right
