Cold start video. I was pleasantly surprised.

Found a new to me trail behind my place. Kinduvan extension of the "Ride Around The Hood", will get video soon. Until then, the first wreck on my Hawk wasn't even me. My brother-in-law Ray came by the house and I let him ride it. He put it right into the fence, lol. Wedged the front tire in good where you see the marks. Rotated the brake lever out of level and popped the mirror off. All was set right and I got him out on the road after a quick How To Feather The Clutch tutorial/refresher. Should've seen him speed shifting up the hill. I've never heard my bike while someone else is riding it. Sucker is LOUD with the new pipe and sounds freakin' awesome. Pics of the evidence:

It’s not “rays” fault ,the bike was delivered on a pallet ,and that “fence” is a pallet ,so really the bike was just heading home and ray was just along for the ride .
How long does a painted pallet last as a fence ?they rot really quickly at my camp unpainted ,so is it worth it to paint them ?

Classic "I haven't ridden in years" mistake. He let the clutch out instead of pulling it back in. I thought I saw the front tire come off the ground. lol He throttled into that fence, and it took it better than any fence I've ever known. Didn't even punch thru with the tire, sucker got wedged instead.

Pallet fence is going 4 years strong thru harsh Wyoming winters. Definitely worth painting. In fact, I gotta get a fresh coat on it.

Took a ride out to Sacajawea Campground in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/btnf...a/?recid=71437

Somewhere along the ride, I lost my rear brake. The pin that holds the brake lever to the master cylinder pushrod thingy must've fallen out. No matter, nature provides.

I really like the big Amazon special trunk. Little pricey, but I said what the heck.

I will be occupying one of these campsites soon. Tent and all related sleeping gear go in a duffle that will be ratchet strapped to the top of the trunk. All food and other particulars go in the trunk.

Nice!! We took a family road trip out west earlier this year and your area was easily my favorite out of everywhere we went.
Overnighted in Pinedale on our way from West Yellowstone to Denver.
Would love to get back out that way with my Templar X sometime!

Just another mile up the road there's Middle piney lake campground too. Add fishing and swimming to the list! Very beautiful area. Nice hiking trails around the lake too. And it is just a half hour from Big Piney. NICE!

Thumbs Up

I like like your brake clevis pin fix! Another thing for a problem like that could be to use your screw diver in your tool kit, although it would be nice if the tool kit carries electrical tape too.

Not if, but when you do, you gotta hit me up. I can show you some pretty sweet trails to ride around these parts. My wife works in Pinedale. Nice restaurant/saloon called Stockman's. The building is historic due to the Rendezvous. Right now it's "Rendezvous Days" and it's hectic, so be sure to avoid that week.

Took a ride to Pinedale from my place. It was windy and rough, but there is a boat launch off of Paradise Road where I think I may have found a good fishing hole. I got footage, and it's ok, but I'm realizing I need a GoPro. The Akaso EK7000 just sucks in comparison.

Yes! I hope to do some float flying before the weather turns bad. Just need to fix my floats.

I wish I had the words to describe the wonderful, natural perfume of the forest as you drop into the area getting close to the campgrounds. It does wonders for the soul.

I grew up in Northern New Mexico in the pine forest. 7500-8500 feet in the Southern end of the Rockies. Yes, the earthy pine air is nice. Other areas have more sage in the air. I miss the Rockies.
