Now I'm looking to purchase a service manual for the Linhai 260/300 4x4 atv.I have a couple already downloaded & saved on my computer but I want a paper back version.I just don't know if my printer could print out 360 pages plus whether I got the ink to do that.

I've been going around the atv trying to find all the zerk grease fittings and applying some grease to them.I think I have found them all & am now wondering about the front hub carrier bearings.Their like the old cars & tractors ect & their not a sealed bearing.

The 2wdhub carrier looks like it has a place for a zerk fitting. To where the 4wd does not,I was just wondering if I could drill & tap for a zerk fitting?

I would drill and tap it to install a grease zerk.

That's the 2wd version above & I don't know if that is a threaded hole for the zerk fitting or not.The 4wd doesn't have that & has the splined shaft running through it.

I think they skimped on the grease in the fittings, some I don't think they put any grease in & that's why I'm worried about the front axle bearings.

I'll have to take the wheel off, cotter pin & nut just to see what kind of grease is in there. There's a grease fitting on the steering shaft,I had to take the front cover off to get to it & they must have never put any grease in it,so much easier to steer after putting grease in the steering bushing.

As long as the zerk doesn't interfere with the bearings or shaft, I wouldn't think you would have any issues with installing one.
