BMS is it a really A SOHC 4valve engine?
Thank you for your information if the Engine were an OHC 4-valve I think they would be asking more than $1600 for it. All the other factory OHC 4Valves sell for over 2K.

We don't see OHC 4 valve Chinese bikes yet in North American market. They are OHC, but 2 valve. The Templars and Lifan KPX are good examples.

I would prefer no overhead cams, just pushrod. That way the engine has more torque, and able to go high speeds through extra tall gears. Or get a fully ohc, that way there's almost no torque, but good enough HP. But these hybrid engines, half pushrod, half overhead cam, are very inefficient. Not quite as fast as OHC, not quite as efficient as pushrod engines, lower MPG. Overall worse. |

![]() But the 4V OHC engine is available in a 249cc ZS engine. One of our forum members has put it into a bike (photos!) Here is the engine. He bought it from AliExpress and as I recall, fabbed it into his grom clone. Now that was an upgrade! You can even get the 172FMM compatible head kit:
