I recently tried reenforcing the silencer, by welding with a stick welder.
You need a very thin welding stick, with a low number like a 6010, size 1/32 to 1/16.
It's really difficult to do.

An alternative is using a propane torch, heat up the exhaust tip, and solder it with high lead solder. High tin solder doesn't stick and rolls right off.
Solder is probably the worst kind of way to reinforcement, but considering that the 3 tack welds barely keep up, it may be just all the exhaust needs.
