Carb size larger than port on engine head

Hello everyone! '23 Bd125 rider and I have a question about carbs and intake port.

I have a nibbi 24mm carb and the intake manifold I have is a 24mm. The concern is the port on the engine head is 18mm. I know not porting can cause some possible bogging down the line. Anyone have success with a flanged 24mm adapter to reduce to an 18mm intake port? If so how did you go about it??
