PZ20 jetting lifan
I just rebuilt my lifan 110cc pit bike with a big bore kit, 114cc, and I'm installing a PZ20. I came with a 32 or 35 pilot jet and a 72 or 75 Main, both a little hard to read. Apparently Kelin jets
The pilot might be ok but the research on the web thus far seems to show people bump the main to an 89~90? Has anyone on here had experience with these carbs and thoughts on jetting? It's still winter here so, Canada, so testing on a trail ride is out of the question. |

Pics of the carb. I have two of the same so both in the pics are PZ20. The jets have the Kelin logo on them but the main is a odd ball 4mm size. I found an assortment kit with different main sizes to try but it would be nice to be in the ball park before I install the carb. |

That carb is similar to the ShengWay 20mm carb that Trailbikes (or TB Parts) sells. The TB carb comes with a #35 pilot jet and a #89 main jet, replacement jets can be found HERE and HERE.
Have you tried the carb with the jets it came with? You may find that the jets in the carb you have may be close, and you may only need a main jet from HERE in order to dial your carb in. The Chinese carb makers are not consistent as far as using the same jets for all of the PZ20 carbs, as you have found out. Chances are, running a #90 main in your carb will not work right, even though it is recommended in the Shengway carb, if that makes sense. |
