ATV just 'clicks' when I turn the key

I have a fully charged battery in my ATV. When I turn the key it just makes a soft 'click' sound, but doesn't turn over.

Someone suggested putting a screwdriver across the CDI box (think that's the thing that the starter motor hooks onto). I did, and it sparked.

I checked all the fuses I found and they were good, what could my problem be?

Thanks!

More than likely it's a bad ground to the frame or loose connection.

A bad ground. Or, like it or not, a bad battery. If there's a bad cell or a break inside the battery it can test as fully-charged but fail when a load is applied.

The soft click your hearing could be the starter solenoid. Thinking out loud here the wire between the solenoid and the starter has issues. Check both ends for being loose rusty any type of corrosion. My thoughts…

Same issue with my brand new Tao Raptor 200. I’ll let you know if I get it resolved. Please do the same. Thank you!
