I think someone in china stamped 167 instead of 165...
If the jug skirt is only 69.5 then it's more than likely a CG200 engine throughout. I'd be taking up the issue with the seller/distributor. It's clearly the incorrect engine with misleading markings. |

Yeah, you got sold a bike with a cg200 engine. They have 68.5 to 69mm cylinder skirts and 15mm wrist pins. A CG250 is a 73 to 73.5mm skirt and a 16mm wrist pin. Measure the bore on the old cylinder, if it is around 63.5mm, you have your answer.
Also, if they have the bore and stroke for the bike listed on their website, screen shot it and make sure that it can be identified as their listing. If they won't make it right you have a case for false advertising/fraud. If you paid with a credit account, this is where you could involve the bank.

That is just nuts. Vendor needs to send you a legitimate 229cc engine.
Maybe public exposure will help you get this resolved. The vendor may benefit from coming through on this.

Did they actually send you a Hawk?
Check the VIN on the MCO, and see if it matches the VIN stamped in the neck if the bike. |
