No experience

So I want to rebuild an old bike, something mid 80’s small cruiser or dirt bike. Here’s the thing. Never have I done mechanical projects. Replaced my shocks in. Y truck, dropped transmission before, but I couldn’t tell you much more than that. Im too old for his VJ school by three decades and all I’ve found is online engine schools. Any thoughts or reasonable input is appreciated.
Plus im waiting on my hawk DLX EFI to arrive in two weeks and should have some idea. Thanks!

When you say rebuild do you mean a bare frame restoration with a running engine?

Or a complete tear down individual component refurbish and reassembly?

save and a clapped out rust bucket or just refresh a runner?

If you already have a Hawk DLX on the way that pretty much covers the dirt side of things with some basic assembly required.

You need to proofread what you write before hitting Post. Too confusing.
