1981 XL185s and stock 2020 hawk tires

My son is trying to get the Old honda (81 XL185s) running as a dirt bike. The first thing that I did to my Hawk was change out the tires and tubes to the less aggressive Shinko 244 tires. The stock hawk tires saw 0 road miles. So, my question is....... (drum roll) Does anyone know if the Stock hawk tires will fit on the XL185s rums? They are both 18" and 21". Trying to save some $$ if I can.

Depends on the rim width, but more than likely they will work fine.

Factory XL185 tire sizes are 21x2.75 and 18x4.10

a 3.00 should fit on the front ok. a 4.50 will fit on the rear however it will foul on the chain gaurd and possible the exhaust system.

Depends on what you want to get from the XL185.

What I would like to know is if the Hawk 250 front suspension setup will fit into a XL185 headstock/tripletree? mainly for the discbrake.

If the rims are that wide the Hawk tires won't work. Way too skinny.
