Why China can copy bikes

Engine sizes and bike styling are not patented. According to the article, anyway.

No surprise. Patents don't apply to everything (like style, or engine size), don't last forever, and although a motorcycle may have one feature or another covered by a patent, the idea of a motorcycle went in to the public domain a century ago...
