Carb air intake dilemma for Magician 250
I am going to be buying a Nibbi PE28mmFL carb since it fits the magician almost perfectly. The one and only problem is the air intake hose..
The Nibbi PE28mmFL has a 49.5mm OD air intake but the magician's air hose is only 44mm ID. I can not find an air hose that will fit the 49.5mm air intake. Are there any recommendations for what I should do? I have seen photos of just using a racing air filter and doing an air box delete so it could fit. I am not familiar with air box deletes and don't know if this is the best course of action here. I figured an air hose would be the easiest thing to do though. Any thoughts? |

49.5mm is very close to 2 inches ,finding a piece of 2” rubber hose is easy at an auto parts store or a plumbing supply place .

A 50mm ID silicone tubing/elbow can be employed easily on the carb side. On the airbox side you could epoxy a 2 inch OD bit of tubing into the air box for said silicone tubing to connect to. This would allow you to retain the airbox functionality if so desired.
This is all just theoretical as I am not familiar enough with the Magician to know if it could work for sure, but the principles apply. It's really just a matter of how much room there is to work with.
