2022 re int650

Well Hell. Mrs. 2LZ asked me what I wanted for my upcoming birthday.....
Pick it up Friday or Saturday but depends on weather.

Not my first color choice but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse, especially here for the CA market. Really looking forward to this adventure. The pic is the exact bike, ser# and all.

I test rode one a while back for giggles. I was impressed, save for the rear brake pedal, which I suppose I could have adapted to. The Maggot is paid for, which is why I didn't get it.

Pretty sure RE have replacement tanks at RE pricing if the color isn't captivating.
Im intrigued to see what the new behind the curtain Himalayan 450 gets priced at domestically.

So far, all their replacement parts are fairly inexpensive. I can get the chrome tank with the original badge and black center stripe (glitter they call it) for around 350.00 delivered.

My bike was the metallic orange but for 150 the dealer swapped it for the red tank.
And as a bonus that gave me the chrome headlight and polished wheels-makes me very happy. I love this damned bike.

Glad to hear it! I'm hoping for the same experience.

If I were in the market for a street bike, this would be at the top of the list. Old-school looks and simplicity with modern electronics and fueling. The Triumph 650 for today, without the oil puddle.

So, the gals (Mrs. 2LZ and her good friend and wine buddy from across the street) were hovering in the shop last night, sipping and chatting. I expressed my concerns about the matte finish tank, especially with the completely non-matching glossy side covers with different colors, than that funky teal on the tank (that the girls insist I keep on the bike). It just ain't working for me. Their agreed fix? Leather bags! WOO HOO! Cleared for purchase! I don't drink wine....but I do like its side effects on others! ;-)

I think you should also order more wine while you at it too. Just sayin.

Oh! They take care of that! Amador Co is full of vineyards and they belong to at least two of them. It's their "girls day out"!

I was going to suggest my youngest sisters' favorite, Cardboardeaux, aka wine in a box. But with the vineyard access, nah.
