how to turn off boom vader 125 running light?

How can you turn off or disconnect the daytime running light on a 2021 Boom Vader BD125-10?

Try the Control switch below the kill switch on your right side

The closest I've ever found was for the SSR Razkull.

Thanks, yeah it seems like it would be close only thing is the Vader has 2 bulbs for the headlight instead of 3 like the Razkull, on the Vader the daytime running light is the low beam headlight.

If it were me, and I've already changed out my Vader headlight for a round one anyhow, but I'd simply put a toggle switch inline with the power to the Low Beam headlight- in which case that would act as a master headlight control switch, and the existing one only activates the high beam and taillight.

I would switch the ground instead of the power with a good quality toggle switch .Can I ask why you want no headlight ? Seems to me your bike is so small your asking to get run over

That is what I was actually thinking, seems like that’s the only way to make it turn on and off.

I’m going to have to take it apart to see what’s the best way to put a switch, and I do want the headlight… I would just like to control it completely on and off like you normally would on most vehicles. It would be the same, the only difference is that it would have a switch…

There is a yellow wire with a bullet connector coming from the control harness that is power for the headlights. you could introduce a switch in line there.

Not that it seems to matter much, but you guys are talking about how to disconnect a safety feature that is mandatory for licensing and road use in every state since 1977.


Not to mention that old "they said they did not see me and pulled right out in front of me!" accusation so often heard.

Not in the U.S... DRL's are still not compulsory, otherwise all older vehicles would require to be retrofitted.

Now, running lights in general, that's different.

I don't agree with disabling the lighting either.. I want MORE light, not less. But if the OP wants to risk getting turned into a bloody pancake mixed with chunky human salsa, that's on him.
