Thumbs Up Brozz Recon Success!

Over Thanksgiving I finally got my Recon put together. It took about 8 hours with minimal help and hand tools, and started right away. The engine sounds smooth and quiet.

Coming from riding a CRF 230, this bike seems heavier, wider, and higher. Next, I'm going to lower it a few inches with a 280mm shock, and perhaps change the front sprocket to a 15 or lower. Would a 13 be excessively low? It's only going to be used on dirt, and the stock gearing feels unreasonably high for low speed trail riding.

One small issue is I habitually drain the carb on bikes when done riding. Is there an easy way to get to the drain screw on the 2022 Recon? It was a little difficult to get a flathead past the exhaust heat shield.

Heavier - Check
Wider - Check
Taller- ???
How come most Crf 230 i have seen and rode were higher than most of the hawesque motorcycles.

Be glad that you could drain the carb, 99% of the times those little bolts are stuck like they are weld to the bowl.
